What we are hearing locally

The things that matter on your street.

Our priorities must start with residents—not with a committee inventing them in a room. These are the themes people keep raising with us.

01GP access and local health services
02Reliable buses and public transport
03Council tax and value for money
04Housing people can afford
05Roads, pavements and potholes
06Antisocial behaviour and community safety
07A town centre people are proud of

Good questions

Before your first session.

Do I need any campaigning experience?

No. You will get a briefing and can go out with someone experienced. You will not be launched at a stranger’s front door with a clipboard and a prayer.

Do I have to knock on doors?

No. Doorstep conversations are important, but we also need help with leafleting, events, admin, lifts, digital content and practical jobs.

How long is a campaign session?

Most sessions are planned as a focused block, but you are welcome to give the time you have. An hour of useful campaigning is still useful campaigning.

How do I manage the Labour emails I receive?

Local, regional and national communications can be managed separately through Labour Hub, so you stay in control of what reaches your inbox.
